Referendum Results:
- Town Government: Voting Machine results: 298 YES; 94 NO
- Education: Voting Machine results: 306 YES; 88 NO
At this time, Treasurer Fish handed out to the Board the “Mil Rate Calculation” for the year ending June 30, 2014 as follows:
Grand List: $2,484,438,361
Tax Collection Rate: 0.99
Other Revenues: $2,370,396
Fund Balance Appropriation: 0
Total Revenue (Budget): $39,760,553
Mill Rate = 1000 x (Total Revenue – Other Revenue – Fund Balance Appropriation) / (Grand List x Tax Collection Rate) = 15.2018; 15.20.
Present mill rate: 14.62.
Chairman LaMay signed the statement of mil rate and turned it over to Tax Collector, Barry Maynard.
Motion: To lay a tax of 15.20 mils on the dollar against the Grand List of October 1, 2012.
